High-quality career support delivered at scale

The Goal

The Robinson College Graduate Career Advancement Center wanted to explore how to deliver effective interview training at scale. Traditional in-person mock interviews provided personalized support but were limited by staff capacity and time constraints.

With increased demand for career support, GSU needed a solution that could offer realistic, high-quality practice while reaching more students efficiently.

“As a VirtualSpeech user since 2021, I have personally witnessed the ongoing innovations to improve the immersiveness and real-time feedback of the user experience. All the graduate business students I've heard from express positive reviews about how impactful the tool is for their career and professional development."

The Solution

To enhance the student learning experience and overcome the limitations of traditional mock interviews, the Robinson College of Business implemented VirtualSpeech, a virtual reality (VR) platform paired with Meta Quest 2 headsets.

VirtualSpeech created immersive, interactive interview simulations, allowing students to practice in realistic settings while receiving real-time feedback.

The Robinson College of Business reported that VirtualSpeech enabled highly engaging and memorable training sessions. Its multi-sensory environment and AI-driven performance analytics offered a scalable way to build student confidence and competence.

The solution aligned well with national career readiness competencies, including communication, critical thinking, and technology fluency.

“It was an engaging and interactive experience when compared to preparing for interviews in front of a mirror. The VR session presented realistic questions that encouraged me to think on the spot, and the real-time feedback highlighted key areas for improvement. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would gladly participate in more sessions in the future."
