Learn through online classes, practice in a video call simulation

Classes and simulation are through a web browser, no VR headset required

Simulation provides feedback on performance, you can also self-evaluate

As the world has adapted to remote working, the way we deliver sales pitches has changed. Most people now deliver pitches online, through video conference calls or webinars.

This requires a unique skill set for delivery compared to in-person sales. For example, adapting to a lack of audience feedback and body language cues on virtual calls can be difficult.

To address this and provide an effective way to improve these skills, we’ve created a course that combines best practices for virtual sales pitching with a realistic simulation to practice in. You learn key tips and then practice, improve and build your confidence in a virtual sales pitch simulator.

Virtual sales pitch simulation

Practice virtual sales pitches in the VirtualSpeech simulation. Answer audience questions, receive instant feedback on your performance, and watch yourself present on a video recording to identify areas for improvement.

This Virtual Sales Pitch course teaches you the fundamentals for pitching virtually, covering topics from finding out customer needs, to setting up your camera, to introducing yourself and overcoming objections.

By the end of this course, you'll be able to confidently deliver a sales pitch over a video call.

Course overview

There are two main parts to this blended course:

  • Online classes: Learn fundamental sales techniques for giving video based pitches through articles, videos, and case studies
  • Virtual simulation: After completing the classes, you'll practice what you've learnt by pitching in a realistic simulation, which mimics video conference software such as Zoom, Webex, Teams etc.

Features in the virtual simulation

  • Practice virtual presentations in a risk-free simulation
  • Receive instant feedback on delivery, including your level of assertiveness, openness and speaking pace
  • Answer questions from the virtual audience in the chat bar as well as verbally
  • Common distractions occasionally occur so you can practice handling them
  • Track progress through AI, feedback and quizzes
  • Review the recorded audio and video to identify improvements you can make to your delivery and connection with the audience
  • Check slide change timings by watching the replay of you pitching alongside your slides

How does the simulation work?

Practice your sales pitch on a secure webpage that looks and feels like a video conferencing platform.

While delivering your pitch, the simulation will analyse your voice and delivery, providing feedback when you’ve finished on aspects such as pace, audience perception and confidence.

At the end of the pitch and throughout, answer text and audio-based questions from the virtual audience. You can also load in custom questions for a more targeted Q&A session.

Enable distractions while you present, such as mobile phones ringing and loud background noise, to test your pitching skills further.

What hardware and software is required?

Both the online classes and simulation run through a web browser, so no additional software or download is required. Unlike other VirtualSpeech soft skills training courses, there is no VR element, so a VR headset is not required.

The simulation has been tested across multiple browsers and runs smoothly on Google Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer, and Edge. For any queries about this, please contact the team at
